- 11:30–15:00: Explore Anacapri and have a quick lunch.
- 15:00–17:00: Visit the historic center of Capri and shop.
- 18:00: Return to Naples and then head back to Rome.
Please remember that this schedule is only recommended; you can change it to suit your needs. Remember that during the high-season months of July and August, the island tends to be very hot and crowded. Attempting a day trip during this season is not recommended, as you may spend most of your time waiting in long lines for attractions and transportation.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Rome Tiburtina Largo Mazzoni to Naples Metropark Central Parking and then take a ferry from Naples to Capri. This journey takes approximately 4 hours, costing between €27 and €56.

If you’d rather drive alone, rent a car in Rome and travel to Naples. From there, you can take a ferry to Capri. The journey takes nearly 3 hours and costs between €54 and €96, depending on the type of vehicle you rent.

May, September, and October are the best months to visit Capri. Temperatures remain above 60 degrees during these months, and crowds are substantially lighter than in the summer.

Excellent discounts are also available throughout the winter. But many cafes and restaurants close for the season during that time, though temperatures remain above 40 degrees.

The funicular departs every 15 minutes (often during peak times) and lasts about 15 minutes. The ticket price is EUR 2.20, and you can bring small pets on board.
Bus
Public buses on Capri are minibusses that can carry about 10 passengers seated. They are a convenient way to get around the island, especially if you want to travel between Capri and Anacapri. Bus routes usually run every 15-20 minutes, with more frequent service during high season. The ticket price for a single journey is EUR 2.40 (EUR 2.90 if purchased on board), and daily tickets are available for EUR 7.20 (plus EUR 1 deposit).
